State League Status Secured

After a 1-0 victory against Swan United in yesterday’s Inter-divisional Play-off, North Beach Soccer Club will join the State League system in 2026.

For the first time in North Beach history, Saturday football will be played at Charles Riley Reserve.

A buoyant Beach support was in full voice as the Amateur First Team took to the field at the Sam Kerr Football Centre. After 90 minutes, history was made, and the club will return to the State League after a nearly 50-year absence.

The club withdrew from the State Leagues in 1978 as Stirling United, and since 1981 has competed in the Amateur leagues as both Stirling United and North Beach.

Over the past 4 seasons, the club has seen historic successes on the field, beginning with the promotion to the Amateur Premier League for the first time in 36 years after winning the Division 1 title in 2022.

The following season saw the club maintain its Premier League status with an eighth-placed finish, marking the first time it had achieved this since entering the Amateur Leagues in 1981.

In 2024, the club improved with a fifth-placed finish and ended the season as Amateur Cup Champions – a first for the club.

Now, after securing a second-place league finish in 2025 and winning the resulting playoff, the club will return to semi-professional status in WA.
